E' stato completato il piano terra, che è perfettamente funzionante. Questo quanto ci era stato chiesto ed è stato portato a compimento!

Completeranno il piano superiore con altri finanziamenti.

 

Aggiornamento: lavori completati per l'80%. Rallentati dal fatto che i locali del piano terra sono usati per 9 ore al giorno dagli studenti.

The project has progressed very well, estimated to be at over 80% of phase 2 planned activities.

1. Structure for 1 st and 2nd floor

2. Walling for the 1st floor

3. Plastering and painting the 1st floor

4. Aluminum windows

5. Floor tiles for offices, washrooms (this activity is ongoing for classrooms)

6. Cabling for electrical and data completed by 60%

The speed with which the project activities are being carried out is greatly affected by the fact that ground floor is being used for school activities for up to 9 hours per day, leaving us only with 3 hours maximum for contractors to do their work.

Greeting from Dar es Salaam Tanzania. By God's grace we are all fine.
Just to update you in somr issurs:
1. We have finished with the 1 &2 floor slabs
2. The finishing work in the 1st floor is going on. Skimming is done, rough floor is done, wiring both for data and electricity is going on well.
3. Alluminium window and door frames are being prepared
By the grace of God we will succeed hopeful. Iam very grateful to you all the being companions in this gracious journey for the young generation of my country.

We great you from Dar
escSalaam Tanzania. On this st Anthony day, we pray for you in aspecial way. We thank you for friendship and assistance granted us. We appreciatiate this and pray that God will always sustain you.
Project wise we are doing well.the finish work onfirst floor is going on and the slab on the second floor is at the level arranging iron bars. Most probably next week we will work on slab concrete. Some photos attached.

Aggiornamento: i lavori sono un po' rallentati a causa delle piogge ma in un paio di settimane comincerà il lavoro al secondo piano

Hi and much greetings from Dar es Salaam. We re all fine.
I just want to update you in activities which are going on over here. Our work is a bit slowed down by much rains and due to the fact that the work is done most of the time starting from 1500hrs. This is because pupils are using the ground foor already. The other cause of some delay is too much rains in the country, but now it has slowed down.
This week we will complete slap work and and next week the remaining part. Most likely in two weeks time the work on second floor will start.
I'm sending a photo of how the work on the first floor is proceeding.

Carissime, Silvia e Claudia - Vi saluto cordialmente dal Dar es Salaam.

Sto bollendo dal caldo, e particolarmente dall'umidità. Siamo qui in piena estate...

Sono stato qui in questi due giorni per visitare i frati e ho deciso anche di vedere lo stato di costruzione della scuola che la "Caritas" sta sponsorizzando. La scuola gia sta operando - l'insegnamento si svolge per 4 classi di bambini/del 1° turno. Appena faranno la pausa nell'insegnamento i frati continueranno con la costruzione del 2° piano, come previsto. Vi allego qualche foto.

Le projet

La richiesta viene avanzata dal parroco di Segerea Fr. Josephat Mmbaga ofm conv e riguarda l'espansione dell'attuale asilo (3-5 anni) anche a scuola primaria (6-13 anni). Attualmente l’edificio esistente, ubicato a Segerea all'interno della zona parrocchiale, è in grado di accogliere 225 bambini dell’asilo. Con questo progetto si prevede di costruire un edificio di 4 piani, compreso il piano terra, che potrà accogliere 1.350 alunni e 54 insegnanti.

Datano l'inizio del progetto nel 2015 (con le pratiche burocratiche) e prevedono di completarlo nel 2021.
Il progetto sarà gestito dalla parrocchia nelle vesti di una commissione di 12 persone, compreso il parroco.

Vi collaborano anche suore della Sisters of Mercy of Saint Vincent de Paul e della Little Sisters of St. Francis of Assis.
Hanno completato le fasi preliminari e acquistato il terreno.
I lavori sono all'inizio della prima fase.
